Indopox Tinted Solid Epoxy — Floor Coating

A two-pack, solvent-free epoxy for concrete floors that get worked hard. Garages, workshops, warehouses, factory floors, plant rooms.

Indopox cures to a dense, seamless film that takes forklift traffic, dropped tools, oil, and most workshop chemicals without breaking down. At 98% volume solids, it builds close to 180 microns in a single coat — several times what a solvent-based floor paint leaves behind — and it won’t chalk or lift under wheel scrub.

Coverage: 15 L kit covers approximately 80 m² at 180 µm DFT on smooth, sealed concrete. Porous or freshly ground slabs will take more — allow 10–20% extra, or prime first with Primit E1 111.

Where it works: bare or previously coated concrete, provided the old coating is sound and abraded.

Finish: Gloss, tinted to any AS 2700 colour. 4 shades held in stock; anything else matched to order.

Two things that catch people out

Pot life is 30 minutes at 25°C. On a hot slab in a Melbourne summer, you’ll get closer to 15–20. Mix what you can lay in that window, not a full kit at once.

Miss the 72-hour recoat window and the second coat won’t chemically bond — you’ll have to abrade the first coat back before recoating.

Surface prep: diamond grind or acid etch to an open profile, remove all laitance, and make sure the slab is dry. Prep is where most epoxy floors fail — not the product.
