DUR-ASPART PA-944: Polyaspartic is what you use when the floor has to be back in service tomorrow and still look right in five years.
It cures fast, it doesn’t yellow, and it holds a gloss that epoxy loses within a season of daylight. On a garage, a showroom, or a flake floor that gets sun, it’s the finish that survives.
This is the thing to understand before you open the kit.
Once Part A and Part B are together, you have half an hour at 25°C, and less than that on a warm slab. That’s not a warning buried in a data sheet — it’s the single characteristic that shapes how you approach the whole job.
Have the floor prepped, taped, and ready before you mix. Have the roller wet and the squeegee in hand. Mix in small batches rather than the whole kit. Work in sections you can finish, not in a strip across a whole warehouse.
Applicators who use it regularly like it precisely because it’s fast. If you’ve only ever used epoxy, it will feel like it’s getting away from you the first time.
Over epoxy flake systems as the wear coat. Over Indopox and Cindopox as a UV-stable topcoat. Straight onto prepared concrete.
Garages, showrooms, workshops, retail floors, patios, and anywhere a coated floor sees daylight.
Epoxy chalks and ambers under the sun. Aromatic polyurethanes yellow. Polyaspartic doesn’t do either — it stays clear.
That’s what you’re paying for. On a floor that never sees light, a cheaper epoxy glaze will do the same job.
Add Grip-PE 711 to the final coat. Keep it stirred while you work so it doesn’t settle out, and back-roll to keep the spread even.
With a 30-minute pot life, get the additive in and mixed at the start rather than partway through the batch.

Equal parts A and B, by volume.
Mix with a drill and paddle, not a stick, and scrape the sides and the bottom of the bucket as you go. Unmixed material in the corners stays soft.
Then move. Thirty minutes at 25°C, halving on a hot slab, and the clock starts the moment the two parts meet. Mix only what you can lay.
Twenty-four hours to walk on. Seven days to park on.
You can be back on the floor the next day, and that’s the real advantage of polyaspartic over epoxy — a workshop can be shut for a day instead of most of a week.
But walking on it isn’t the same as cured. It keeps hardening chemically for seven days. Drive onto it on day three, and you’ll press tyre marks into a floor that would have been fine on day eight.
This is where the callbacks come from, and it costs more than any other product because of what a 30-litre kit is worth.
Recoat inside 72 hours.
Eight hours before the second coat, and you have until 72 hours to apply it. Inside that window, the coats bond chemically. Past it, the surface has hardened off, and the floor has to be abraded back to a matt before anything else goes on.
Dur-Aspart holds up to 80°C in service. That covers hot tyres, sun-exposed slabs and most workshop conditions.
For steam cleaning, thermal shock or anything hotter, you want a polyurethane cement system — that’s U-Krete PC-235.
Over flake or epoxy: coat inside the recoat window for a chemical bond. Outside it, abrade to a uniform matte, vacuum, then solvent wipe.
Over bare concrete: etch with ConEtch, one part to three parts water. Wet the slab first, then apply, agitate with a stiff broom, and leave it 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly until the runoff runs clear, then let it dry completely.
Check it with the water drop test. If water soaks in within a minute and darkens the concrete, you’re ready. If it beads, the etch hasn’t got through, and that area needs grinding.
Do all of this before you mix. With half an hour of pot life, there’s no time to fix prep once the kit is open.
Flash point 32°C, VOC max 350 g/L. Keep it away from ignition sources, work with the door open, and use a respirator with organic vapour cartridges rather than a dust mask in enclosed spaces.
Clean up with xylene.
