LIQUID LASTIC PU-991 Cutting-Edge, Fast-Curing Polyurethane Waterproofing Membrane for Superior Surface Protection
LIQUID LASTIC PU-991 is an advanced, fast-curing, two-component polyurethane membrane engineered to deliver exceptional surface protection in both industrial and construction settings. Its unique formulation allows it to form a highly elastic, seamless, and durable membrane that adapts to surface movement, making it ideal for areas subject to mechanical stress, harsh chemicals, and environmental challenges. This product excels in a wide range of applications, offering long-lasting performance and a solution to various surface protection needs.
Unmatched Flexibility and Durability
One of Liquid Lastic’s standout qualities is its high elasticity. This flexibility ensures that the membrane can withstand expansion, contraction, and other surface movements without cracking or losing its protective capabilities. This makes it particularly valuable in areas exposed to dynamic loads or temperature fluctuations, such as roofs, balconies, and terraces, where constant movement can otherwise cause traditional coatings to fail.
Its durability means the membrane provides consistent protection over time, resisting wear and tear from frequent use or exposure to harsh conditions. Once applied, Liquid Lastic creates a resilient barrier that stands the test of time, reducing the need for frequent repairs or reapplications, even in tough industrial environments.
Versatile Adhesion to Multiple Surfaces
Liquid Lastic’s formula is designed to bond strongly to a variety of surfaces, including:
Concrete
Metal
Ceramic tiles
Asphalt
This versatile adhesion makes it an excellent choice for both new construction and refurbishment projects, offering superior bonding even on difficult substrates. Whether you’re applying it on horizontal or vertical surfaces, Liquid Lastic ensures full coverage and adhesion, preventing water infiltration, chemical spills, or mechanical damage from compromising the structure.
Outstanding Chemical and Mechanical Resistance
In industrial settings, surfaces are often exposed to harsh chemicals, oils, fuels, and solvents, all of which can erode or degrade traditional coatings. Liquid Lastic offers superior chemical resistance, standing up to a wide range of corrosive substances, making it perfect for use in factories, warehouses, and facilities where chemical exposure is a concern. Additionally, its mechanical resistance ensures that the membrane can withstand impacts, abrasions, and heavy foot or vehicular traffic without sustaining damage, making it a reliable option for high-traffic areas.
Two-pack polyurethane waterproofing membrane
Most waterproofing doesn’t fail because the product was bad. It fails at a joint, a lap, or a hairline crack that opened up six months later when the slab moved.
Liquid Lastic is a liquid-applied membrane, so there are no joints to fail. You roll or spray it on; it cures into one continuous elastic skin, and it stretches with the substrate instead of cracking when the substrate moves. That’s the whole point of it.
It goes on balconies, terraces, flat and low-pitch roofs, planter boxes, plant rooms, and below-grade concrete — anywhere water has to stay on one side of a surface that isn’t going to sit perfectly still.
At 80% solids, it lays down 200 microns per coat. Two coats give you up to a continuous 500 micron film — thick enough to take foot traffic and still be there in ten years, not a thin skin that wears through at the doorway first.
A 10 litre kit does about 30 square metres at two coats over smooth, primed concrete. Rough or porous surfaces drink more — allow 15 to 20 percent on top.
It bonds to concrete, screed, metal, ceramic tile and asphalt. Brush, roller, or squeegee, whichever suits the job.
Left bare in full sun, it will yellow and chalk, the way every aromatic polyurethane does. If the membrane is going to stay exposed — an open balcony, a walk-on roof deck — overcoat it with Polyurit PU-232. That’s an aliphatic polyurethane, so it holds its colour and takes the UV hit instead of the membrane.

Pot life is 30 minutes at 25°C. On a hot Melbourne roof in February, you’ll get closer to 15 mins. Mix what you can lay in that window, not the whole kit.
This is a hard flexible membrane which needs to be coated by UV resistance top coat.
Grind or abrade back to an open profile. Get rid of every bit of laitance and any old coating. Then check the slab is actually dry — not “looks dry”, properly dry.
Trapped moisture is what kills membranes. Not the product, not the weather, not the application. We’ve seen more failures from someone coating a slab that wasn’t ready than from everything else put together.
