CONCRETE COATINGS
A flake floor lives or dies on the clear coat. Lay the flake perfectly and finish it with something thin and you get roller marks, trapped edges you can feel underfoot, and a floor that looks good for a season.
Cindopox is what goes over the top. It’s 100% solids, so nothing evaporates out of it — what you pour on is what stays on the floor. It flows out level, buries the flake edges, and dries crystal clear.
This is what most clear coats fail at. A car parks on a warm slab, the tyre sits there softening the coating under it, and when it pulls away it takes a patch with it.
Cindopox doesn’t do that. It’s the reason people use it on a garage floor rather than something cheaper.
Over flake systems as the glaze coat. Over Indopox as a clear finish. Over polished and decorative concrete, sprinkle and glitter systems.

It’s not UV stable — no epoxy is. On a floor that gets direct sun through a roller door or a skylight, finish with Polyurit-C PU-234 over the top. That’s an aliphatic polyurethane and it stops the glaze going amber.
Add Grip-PE 711 to the final coat. Keep it stirred while you work so it doesn’t settle out, and back-roll to keep the spread even.
A gloss glaze is smooth by design — worth doing on a ramp or anywhere the floor gets wet, not worth it in a showroom.
5.3 m² per litre at 200 microns. A 24 L kit does about 127 m² per coat, a 12 L kit about 64 m².
Over flake the first coat disappears into the chips, so budget for more on a heavily flaked floor.

Two parts A to one part B, by volume.
Mix with a drill and paddle, not a stick, and scrape the sides and the bottom of the bucket as you go. Unmixed material in the corners is the most common reason a floor stays soft or tacky in patches.
Forty minutes at 25°C, and that halves on a hot slab. A 100% solids epoxy generates its own heat once it’s mixed, so it goes off faster in the bucket than it does spread out on the floor. Get it out of the bucket and onto the ground — don’t leave it sitting while you go and move something.
Mix what you can lay in the time you’ve got.

This catches people who’ve only used thinner coatings. A full bucket of mixed 100% solids epoxy heats itself up, and the hotter it gets the faster it goes. The same mix spread at 200 microns on a cool slab gives you far longer to work with.
If you’re doing a large floor, mix in smaller batches rather than one big one.
Recoat inside 72 hours.
You need eight hours before the second coat, and you’ve got until 72 hours to get it on. Inside that window the coats bond chemically. Past it, the surface has hardened off and you’re relying on adhesion only — the floor has to be abraded back to a matt before anything else goes on it.
The same applies to putting Polyurit-C over the top for UV protection: get it on inside the window, or sand first.
Cindopox holds up to 110°C in service. That covers hot tyres, workshop floors, plant rooms and most commercial kitchen areas.
For anything hotter — steam cleaning, thermal shock, boiling spills in a production kitchen — you want a polyurethane cement system rather than an epoxy. That’s U-Krete PC-235.
Over flake: scrape off any proud chips and vacuum the floor thoroughly. Loose flake under the glaze shows up as a lump you can see and feel.
Over Indopox or an existing epoxy: coat inside the recoat window for a chemical bond. Outside it, abrade to a uniform matt, vacuum, then solvent wipe.
Over bare concrete: prime with Primit E6-111 first. Cindopox is a glaze, not a primer — it won’t penetrate into the slab the way a primer does.
Etch with ConEtch, one part to three parts water. Wet the slab first, then apply, agitate with a stiff broom, and leave it 10 minutes. Rinse thoroughly until the run-off runs clear, then let it dry completely.
Check it with the water drop test. If water soaks in within a minute and darkens the concrete, you’re ready. If it beads, the etch hasn’t got through and that area needs grinding.
No flash point and VOC is only 60 g/L, so this is one of the milder products in the range to work with. Still use gloves — uncured epoxy resin and hardener both sensitise skin, and once you’ve developed a reaction to epoxy it tends to stay with you.
Clean up with xylene.
